The Leamington Consort were rehearsing in All Saints' Church this afternoon, in preparation for their concert next Saturday (9th March, 7.30pm). They will be performing Victoria's sublime Requiem in a liturgical reconstruction of the first performance in 1603 at the funeral of the Dowager Empress Maria in Madrid.
Everyone at All Saints' is looking forward to hearing such a moving setting of texts for the dead, during the season of Lent. We look forward to seeing you there too!
